With over 25 years in non-profit management. Phyllis brings considerable expertise in networking with churches and community non-profit  as well as experience in product procurement and distribution, training and disaster response to her position as a board member of Operation Care International.

Recently retired from World Vision where she held the position of National Domestic Disaster Director, managing World Vision’s response to hurricane Katrina and super storm Sandy as well as many other disasters nationwide. While at World Vision, Phyllis opened warehouses and managed staff and community organizations in Los Angeles, CA; Dallas, TX;  and Picayune, MS.

Phyllis is the proud mother of 5 adult children and a number of grandchildren, who cherishes parenthood and spending time with her vibrant and busy family. As a mother she understands the many needs and concerns of families living in vulnerable situations in local communities. 

While Phyllis lives in Dallas and spends time with family and friends, she is a huge Dallas Cowboy fan, she has deep roots in Los Angeles and loved long road trips, antiquing and reorganizing (homes and garages).
Her favorite verse is Luke 6:35-36.
